never heard the names Aeris and Nekoda before, but I like them. Any info on their origin and meaning?
I found this about Nekoda:
Nekoda means “marked” in Hebrew and “distinguised”
The descendants of Nekoda returned among the Nethinim after the captivity. (Ezra 2:48; Nehemiah 7:50) The sons of Nekoda were among those who went up after the captivity from Tel-melah, Tel-harsa, and other places, but were unable to prove their descent from Israel. (Ezra 2:60; Nehemiah 7:62)
Aeris wasn’t on too many baby name sites. One site says it’s a French name, but no meaning so I’m not sure about it.
Thank you! Interesting info about Nekoda. May be the new Dakota? I’ve heard about Dakoda and Jakota, but never Nekoda. I guess they’re too out there, and Americans aren’t familiar with them as they are with Dakota.
Aeris is an alternate spelling of Eris which is the greek goddess of discord!
